Here's to all the scallywags.

I'm a scallywag. Lots of my doggie friends are scallywags. We are very specials beings.

My human mum calls me all sorts of names but the one I like best is scallywag.

It means a person, typically a child, OR A DOG, who behaves badly but in an amusingly mischievous rather than harmful way; a rascal.

It is a good name for a dog because it has wag at the end and dogs have tails - so I would ask how can a human be a scallywag if they don't have a tail?

Some people say a scallywag is treacherous, deceptive and lying. I am none of those. I am lovable, adorable, mischievous, funny, cheeky. I could go on but I am sure those who know me would agree.

Try saying scallywag when you are smiling or laughing. It's easy. But try saying treacherous, deceptive and lying when you are smiling or laughing. It's hard. Sort of false. You have to screw up your face. It's like when my human mum calls me Lochinvar when I have been naughty. Lochinvar is hard to say when you are smiling or laughing. That's how I know I am in the bad books.

I think the pirate called Johnny Depp is a scallywag. He makes me laugh. Pirates called each other scallywag a lot. I'm not sure why, but I like pirates. I haven't met any. Just seen Johnny Depp on TV and I like him. If all pirates are like Johnny Depp then I like them.

My half brother, Bertie, is a scallywag. He is just over a year old so he is very playful and barks a lot. He is super fun to be with and he likes getting up to mischief doing stuff we know we shouldn't do but do it anyway.

My sister, Mindy, wasn't so much. She is more gentle and polite. I won't see her so much anymore because she has gone back to where we came from on the other side of Australia to live in her human mum's new house. It's a long way to go for a walk together.

Calling me a scallywag usually comes with a tummy tickle or a scratching just below my ears which are my favorite contact with humans apart from when they give me food.

You can call me scallywag anytime preferrable with any of the above.
