Humans. You're spelling DOG backwards

Honestly, when is the penny going to drop that you have got it wrong. DOG that is the correct spelling not GOD.

Have you ever wondered why dog spelled backwards is god? I have. My theory is that originally, we were going to be called god along with all the other gods - divine and sacred deities or supernatural beings. have. You have lots of them. Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and Hinduism all have gods one way or another.

But we were different to all the other gods because we are here, alive and barking. You can touch us and tummy tickle us and cuddle us, so the next best was to call us dog.

Ruler of the roost, king of the wozza, head honcho, big cheese, top gun, major league, top brass, god. That's us. Four legs, tail, your best friend, protector, fur ball, cuddle bunny. I could go on.

It's like when John Edward Gray, a zoologist first saw a white rhinoceros in 1868. He told his assistant to write down wide rhinoceros but the assistant misheard and wrote down white. They're not white, they have a wide mouth like a letterbox whereas the normal rhinos have a little round mouth. They're not white. Some people don't believe that story but I do because my human mum told me and she's been to Zambia and a Zambian man told her. Some people say that the Dutch word wijd meaning wide got mixed up when it was translated into English as white.

Just like dog. Perhaps you wanted us to be a god but someone wrote it down back to front and now we are dog. That's another theory. Who knows. It's hard to understand humans.

The Ancient Egyptians called the dog god Anubis and thought he was a good, protective deity. He looked after you when you died and was in charge of funeral rites and the afterlife.

Native Americans have a doggie god called Coyote. He's a cheeky mischievous god. Just like moi.

Hindu teachings say to treat dogs with kindness and compassion because we

sit alongside other gods and we are blessed. And so are you to have us in your lives.
